While Europe falls into recession, Russia’s economy is climbing out

Statistics speaks of a depressed, but still strengthening economy of the Russian Federation, states the British Newspaper, The Economist.

Despite all the difficulties caused by the Ukrainian conflict and sanctions, production and business activity in Russia are recovering, which indicates that manufacturers have managed to get supplies from outside the West, writes The Economist

In terms of dollars, monthly imports of goods to Russia now exceed the average level of last year. In its latest forecasts, released on October 11th, the IMF raised Russia’s economic outlook for this year. Russia will be able to continue the fight, concludes The Economist (https://www.economist.com/finance-and-economics/2022/10/11/as-europe-falls-into-recession-russia-climbs-out).
