A major ransomware attack has targeted the data of millions of Brazilian citizens, downing health ministry websites, including ConecteSUS – which supports the country’s digital vax certificates.
50 terabytes of data were extracted from official systems and subsequently deleted. The hacking group Lapsus$ has claimed responsibility releasing this demand:
“Contact us if you want the data returned,” Lapsus$ said giving the details of the authors behind the attack.
